How to make Aloe Vera Hair Gel – Recipe

Because you don’t mess with hair style and for many using a hair gel is a necessity, I came across this recipe, tried it and it is wonderful! This aloe vera hair gel will save you another disposable container and all the worse chemicals they put in them. Moreover, it will do the work for a fraction of the price you’re used to pay.

On top of having a lot of benefits compared to big brands products, this gel contains aloe vera. This plant contains proteolytic enzymes which repair dead skin cells on the scalp. Leading to stimulating the hair growth. To make this recipe you need about 10 minutes and 3 ingredients. Ready?

  1. 1 cup of Aloe Vera – I would recommend getting the plant directly to avoid buying containers but if you can’t, here is a link to get in big format (plastic and money saver)

  2. 1 cup of warm water

  3. 1/2 tsp. of your preferred oil

  4. 1/2 tsp. vegetal gelatin (unflavored)

To make your gel start by getting the gel out of your aloe vera leaf if you are extracting the gel from the plant. Now this is done:

  1. Take a container that has a lid (small mason jar will be perfect. I found cheap great ones at the thrift store but if it’s easier for you here’s a link.)

  2. Heat up the water

  3. Poor in your container the aloe vera gel, the gelatin and the warm water

  4. Add the oil and mix well

  5. If it’s too watery add some gelatin and if it’s too thick add water

  6. I recommend keeping it in the fridge to make it last longer. Your gel contains water therefore it’ll likely to turn quickly if left in warm environment. I recently had the idea of getting a very mini fridge, you know the one that can contain only two cans of soda type – and use it to keep my products cool. Right when I thought about that, I found one for $10 on CL and…. realized it was far from being minimalist especially in my house, my bathroom is close enough from the kitchen it didn’t seem worth it … So I didn’t get it and regret it sometimes. But the idea if shared now!

  7.  This recipe is great regardless of your skin type and ethnicity it’ll work and work well.
