Carrier Oil:

You’ll need to dilute your essential oils in a carrier oil. My top 3 recommended oils are coconut oil, jojoba oil or grape-seed oil.

  1. Coconut oil: You might want to use refined oil to make your final product to avoid a too strong smell but this oil is budget friendly, easy to wash off of sheets and therefore had to make it into the top 3. The important detail here thought is in the preparation. If you use coconut oil warm it first on low heat. Only once your oil is liquid, you will add the essential oils in.  (Find It Here)

  2. Jojoba oil: This is is often used to blend essential oils because it preserves the added fragrances and it’s antibacterial properties have a wonderful result on the skin. (FYI: jojoba oil is actually a wax, not an oil) (Find It Here)

  3. Grape Seed oil: I often use this oil to prep my face and body creams. It’s a cost effective oil that has no-odor and a silky texture that makes it a perfect solution to blend your oils. (Find It Here)

How To Use The Plants and Oils

Now that we have listed the most common spices and plants, we’re going to see how we can blend them together to make effective massage oils and diffuser oils to create the perfect sensual atmosphere.

Massage Oils For Her:

  3. 2 Drops of Ginger Oil

  4. 4 teaspoon of Carrier Oil (coconut oil, jojoba oil or grape seed oil)

First, find a nice bottle or bowl in which you’ll poor the carrier oil. If you’re using coconut oil, don’t forget to heat the oil on slow burner first to melt the oil. Add to your oil the drops of each essential oil. If you find the result too strong, don’t hesitate to add an extra teaspoon of carrier oil in the mix.

Massage For Him:

  1. 3 drops of Ylang-Ylang Essential Oil

  2. 2 Drops of Ginger Oil

  3. 4 Drops of Sandalwood Oil

  4. 4 teaspoon of Carrier Oil (coconut oil, jojoba oil or grape seed oil)

Add to your oil the drops of each essential oil. If you find the result too strong, don’t hesitate to add an extra teaspoon of carrier oil in the mix.

Oil Diffuser Blend: To Create a Sensual Atmosphere

  1. 2 drops of Cinnamon Essential Oil

  2. 3 Drops of Rose or Jasmine Essential Oil

  3. 4 Drops of Juniper or Sandalwood Oil

Use an oil diffuser like this one, to create an aromatic atmosphere is your room. Candles are great, but candles with a sensual perfume in the air is even better. If you don’t already have one, I would suggest you do. If you are not a huge fan of electric diffuser, the candle alternative is really great. I have both, and they are such a perfect way to set mood in a room, while taking a bath or working, but it also works great to go to sleep, to meditate or even to get better when sick. Simply put the drops in the diffuser with some water and you’re set! Make sure you turn it on a least a few minutes ahead to fully enjoy the perfume.

Bath Bombs

 Valentine's Day ingredient bath bombs

Taking a bath before your special night is an essential step in my beauty routine. It helps relax clear the mind to enjoy fully the night ahead. Therefore I had to add this bath bomb to make it a complete experience. You’ll find my post on how to make bath bombs here, and instead of using the lavender and frankincense fragrances that are suggested there, replace them with 10 to 15 drops or Ylang-Ylang, 15 to 19 drops of Rose or Jasmine, 5 to 6 drops of Ginger and about 30 drops Sandalwood. Add rose petals and Beet juice (you can get it here) to the mix to give your bombs a pink color and an extra “je-ne-sais-quoi.”
